Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare Indo-Chinese dishes including fried rice, noodles, manchurian, soups, and starters.
- Cook gravies, sauces, and marinades as per standard recipes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, spice level, and presentation.
- Handle wok cooking techniques (stir-fry, deep-fry, sautéing).
Ingredient Preparation
- Cut, chop, and prepare vegetables, meats, and sauces as required.
- Prepare Chinese sauces and spice blends.
- Ensure proper portion control and ingredient usage.
- Maintain freshness and quality of ingredients.
Kitchen Operations
- Operate wok station efficiently during peak hours.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff for smooth service.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain workflow during busy periods.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness of Chinese kitchen station and equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
- Clean utensils, wok, and cooking area after service.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Stock & Inventory
- Check availability of Chinese sauces, vegetables, and raw materials.
- Inform supervisor about stock requirements.
- Reduce wastage and ensure proper usage of ingredients.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
- No formal degree required; culinary training preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in Chinese or Indo-Chinese cuisine.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen is essential.
