Job Summary
A CNC Operator sets up, operates, and monitors CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications. They ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, or grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs
- Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces
- Input or load programs into CNC machines (G-code/M-code)
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain quality control standards and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
- Adjust machine settings for accuracy and efficiency
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code understanding)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with measuring instruments
- Good math and technical skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical certification or diploma in machining/CNC (preferred)
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machining (often required)
Working Conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
