About the Role
HireBent is hiring for a National Sales Development Manager role for a leading FMCG organization. This is a strategic, centralized sales development role focused on driving Route-to-Market, Go-to-Market strategy, distribution effectiveness, sales capability, and market expansion initiatives across key regions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the FMCG industry, with proven exposure to RTM / GTM strategy, distribution models, sales development, and market execution. Candidates with strong market experience in East, North East, or North India will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead national-level sales development initiatives for the FMCG business.
- Design and implement effective Route-to-Market and Go-to-Market strategies.
- Work closely with sales leadership to improve distribution reach, channel productivity, and market execution.
- Drive initiatives related to distributor effectiveness, beat planning, market coverage, and sales productivity.
- Support business growth through structured market development plans.
- Analyse market performance, sales data, distribution gaps, and regional opportunities.
- Partner with regional and zonal sales teams to improve execution quality.
- Drive sales capability-building initiatives and support field force effectiveness.
- Monitor key sales development metrics and recommend corrective actions.
- Support new product launch execution and market expansion plans.
- Bring strong market intelligence from East, North East, or North India markets.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in FMCG sales / sales development / RTM / GTM / trade strategy roles.
- MBA from a reputed college is preferred.
- Strong experience in Route-to-Market, Go-to-Market strategy, distribution planning, and sales development.
- Prior experience in a centralized / national-level sales development role is important.
- Strong market understanding of East, North East, or North India.
- Good understanding of distributor management, channel productivity, market coverage, and sales operations.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and regional sales teams.
- Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Open to working from Chennai.
Pay: ₹4,500,000.00 - ₹5,000,000.00 per year
