Job Purpose:
To support day-to-day stores operations including receipt, storage, issue, and maintenance of materials with proper documentation and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantity and quality as per purchase order / delivery challan.
- Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and other stores documents.
- Arrange and store materials properly with proper identification and location tagging.
- Issue materials to departments based on authorized requisitions.
- Maintain stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers.
- Update ERP / SAP entries related to material receipt and issue.
- Perform physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform shortages to Stores In-charge.
- Ensure proper handling, preservation, and safety of materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Accounts departments.
- Maintain 5S practices and housekeeping in stores area.
- Support stock audit activities and maintain required records.
- Follow company safety procedures and policies.
Qualification:
- Diploma / Any Degree (preferred)
- Knowledge of inventory management and stores operations.
Experience:
- 1–3 years in Stores / Warehouse operations (preferred)
Skills Required:
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel / ERP)
- Material handling knowledge
- Documentation skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of inventory control methods
