A Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to ensure uninterrupted production while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Planning
- Having minimum 7 yrs Industrial purchasing experience.
- Develop purchasing strategies based on production and business requirements.
- Prepare annual and monthly procurement plans.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with production, planning, stores, and finance departments.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts and long-term supply agreements.
- Ensure vendor compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
3. Cost Management
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Achieve annual cost reduction targets.
- Analyze market trends and commodity prices.
- Implement value engineering and alternative sourcing initiatives.
4. Purchase Operations
- Prepare and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Monitor order status from placement to delivery.
- Ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Resolve supply delays and shortages.
5. Inventory Control
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
