About the Role
Our client, a leading textile manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Production Manager – Winding & Twisting to lead its yarn finishing operations. The successful candidate will oversee winding and two-for-one (TFO) twisting processes, ensuring the production of high-quality finished yarn while achieving production, quality, efficiency, and safety targets.
This is a leadership role responsible for production planning, process optimization, workforce development, and continuous improvement within the winding and twisting section. The successful candidate will also support commissioning activities and help establish world-class production standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all production activities within the winding and twisting department.
- Deliver daily production targets while maintaining required yarn count, ply, twist, and quality standards.
- Plan production schedules to ensure continuous material flow from spinning through winding to twisting.
- Set and monitor twist (TPM), yarn tension, package build, and winding parameters.
- Reduce yarn breaks, waste, downtime, and production losses through effective process control.
- Coordinate with spinning, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to maximize productivity.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop production operators across multiple shifts.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, process stabilization, and production ramp-up.
- Analyze production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, quality, and shift reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in textile yarn manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years leading winding and twisting production operations.
- Hands-on experience operating or managing Two-for-One (TFO) Twisters, Assembly Winders, or equivalent yarn finishing equipment.
- Experience with Chinese, European, or other internationally recognized textile machinery manufacturers.
- Proven ability to achieve production, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Experience with production ramp-up or commissioning is an added advantage.
- Previous experience within the Nigerian textile manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working within internationally managed textile manufacturing operations is considered an advantage.
