Key Responsibilities Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules. Plan production for CNC, VMC, turning, grinding, and other machining processes. Prepare Job Orders / Work Orders and allocate jobs to machines and operators. Check machine capacity, manpower, tooling, raw materials, and production priorities. Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams. Monitor production progress against the planned schedule and take corrective action for delays. Maintain production planning and tracking reports. Follow up on raw material availability, subcontracting, tooling, and consumables. Plan rework and rejection recovery without affecting delivery commitments. Track WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure smooth movement between processes. Identify bottlenecks and improve machine utilization, productivity, and delivery performance. Coordinate with Quality for inspection and first-piece approval. Ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved. Maintain proper documentation and ERP/MIS records.
Required Skills Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machining and manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of production planning and capacity planning. Good knowledge of Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production reports. Ability to read engineering drawings and process plans. Strong coordination and follow-up skills. Good analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualification Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Preferred Experience Experience in precision engineering, CNC machining, valve components, or industrial component manufacturing. Knowledge of BOM, routing, cycle time, machine loading, and capacity utilization. Experience with ERP-based production planning is an added advantage.
