Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating custom themes, plugins, and optimizing website performance. You should be proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and have a strong understanding of SEO and security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Customize and extend existing themes and plugins to meet business needs.
- Ensure website functionality, performance, and responsiveness across devices.
- Optimize websites for speed, security, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and conflicts.
- Implement API integrations and third-party services.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to create high-quality web solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Knowledge of SEO, website security, and performance optimization techniques.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Experience with WooCommerce, membership sites, or LMS.
- Familiarity with cloud hosting services (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
- Knowledge of headless WordPress and JAMstack.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required).
