The Salon Manager is responsible for the overall operations, sales performance, customer experience, and team management of the salon. This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning, achievement of targets, high service standards, and strong team discipline.
Key Responsibilities1. Salon Operations
- Ensure smooth daily salon operations and proper opening & closing
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and service quality standards
- Monitor appointment scheduling and manage peak hours efficiently
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of salon equipment
2. Sales & Business Performance
- Achieve monthly targets for ABV, ASB, bills, retail %, and memberships
- Drive service and product upselling through the team
- Plan and execute local marketing activities (Instagram, outdoor activities, tie-ups)
- Monitor daily sales reports and take corrective actions
3. Team Management
- Manage stylists, therapists, and front desk staff
- Ensure staff punctuality, grooming, and discipline
- Conduct daily briefings and weekly review meetings
- Train staff on consultation, service delivery, and customer handling
- Motivate the team through incentives and internal competitions
4. Customer Experience & Retention
- Ensure proper client consultation and service recommendation
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure resolution
- Track and improve Google reviews, NPS, and client feedback
- Ensure minimum daily client follow-up calls for retention
5. Marketing & Lead Generation
- Ensure Instagram check-ins, reels, and boost activities as per plan
- Coordinate weekend outdoor marketing and local tie-ups
- Track lead generation and conversion performance
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
- Track inventory, stock usage, and prevent pilferage
- Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of salon or retail management experience
- Strong leadership and team-handling skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Sales-driven mindset with basic Excel/reporting knowledge
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask
