Job Summary:
As a Food Production Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our food production facility, ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your background in Food Technology (BTech) will be instrumental in implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise production staff and coordinate daily activities to meet production targets.
- Assign tasks and monitor the workflow to ensure efficient operations.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and improve food safety standards.
- Training and Development:
- Train and mentor production staff to improve their skills and performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and submit production reports, including daily output, quality issues, and any deviations from the production plan.
- Analyze production data and provide insights to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology (BTech) or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food production, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in production planning and inventory management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks related to food production.
