About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the USVALS initiative. As part of the Valuation transformation program, you will contribute to building a modern Property Search and Create shared component that supports a centralized valuation platform. This role focuses on developing scalable data solutions and enterprise search capabilities to improve business efficiency and standardize valuation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and Python.
- Build and enhance enterprise data platforms supporting valuation applications.
- Develop Property Search and Create shared components for enterprise applications.
- Implement efficient search capabilities for large-scale property and valuation datasets.
- Develop reusable, high-performance data services and shared application components.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Optimize data processing, performance, and reliability across enterprise platforms.
- Integrate multiple enterprise data sources while maintaining data quality and consistency.
- Support cloud-based data engineering initiatives and modern data architecture.
- Follow best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong expertise in PySpark.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience building enterprise data platforms.
- Experience developing search capabilities or search-driven applications.
- Experience designing reusable shared application components.
- Strong understanding of scalable ETL and data engineering best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Property, Valuation, Real Estate, or similar domain experience.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Databricks or Cloud certifications.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed data platforms.
