About Urban Broker
Urban Broker is a fast-growing proptech startup focused on simplifying residential rentals and resale transactions in Gurugram. We help tenants find the right homes and assist property owners in renting and selling their properties through a technology-enabled, customer-first approach.
Founded by alumni of IIT and IIM, Urban Broker is building the next generation of real estate services by combining technology, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience.
As an intern, you will work directly with the founders, receive hands-on mentorship, and gain first-hand exposure to building and scaling a startup from the ground up.
About the Role
We are looking for energetic, street-smart, and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Business Development Interns. This is a field-based role where you will interact with property owners, residents, brokers, RWAs, and local businesses to help expand Urban Broker's network and property inventory across Gurugram.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy meeting new people, working on the ground, solving problems, and driving growth in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits across Gurugram to identify and onboard rental and resale properties.
- Build relationships with property owners, residents, brokers, and local communities.
- Generate new leads and business opportunities through on-ground networking.
- Collect and verify property information, photos, and relevant documentation.
- Assist in expanding Urban Broker's property inventory and partner network.
- Conduct market research and gather insights on local real estate trends.
- Coordinate with the operations and customer relations teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities and lead status.
- Represent Urban Broker professionally during all customer interactions.
Requirements
- Must own a two-wheeler for daily travel within Gurugram.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
- Comfortable with extensive field work and travel across the city.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident in interacting with people.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales, business development, marketing, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with Gurugram's residential sectors and localities is an advantage.
- Interest in startups, real estate, and business growth.
