Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to join our merchandising team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing product development, sampling, order execution, and buyer coordination for soft plush toys.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the merchandising team in the development of soft plush toys from concept to delivery.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Sampling, Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and other internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist in buyer coordination to ensure compliance with their requirements and expectations.
- Manage product sampling processes and oversee order execution.
- Handle raw material coordination, costing, and production follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to product development and order management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years in merchandising, preferably in soft toys, plush manufacturing, home textiles, home furnishing, apparel, or soft goods.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience in product development, sampling, and order execution.
- Strong ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage timelines effectively.
- Preference: Candidates with experience in export-oriented manufacturing environments and strong backgrounds in soft plush toy merchandising will be prioritized.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with international toy safety standards such as EN71 and ASTM is an added advantage.
