The Service Captain is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day service operations on the restaurant floor. The role involves supervising service staff, maintaining service standards, handling guest interactions, and coordinating with the kitchen and management to deliver an excellent dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations
- Ensure proper table allocation, guest seating, and service flow
- Lead, guide, and monitor stewards/service staff during shifts
- Maintain high standards of guest service and hospitality etiquette
- Handle guest feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely and accurate order execution
- Ensure grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards of service staff
- Monitor service readiness including cutlery, crockery, mise-en-place, and station setup
- Support billing, order punching, and POS accuracy when required
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the outlet
- Report operational issues, staff concerns, and guest feedback to management

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10+2 / Diploma / Graduate (Hospitality preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in food & beverage service
- Prior experience as a Senior Steward / GSA / Captain preferred
