Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Create 3D models, 2D layouts, and isometric drawings for piping networks using software like SP3D, PDMS, or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Material Selection: Choose appropriate pipe classes, valves, fittings, and specialized materials based on operational pressure, temperature, and fluid type.
- Stress Analysis: Perform pipe stress and flexibility checks using software like CAESAR II to ensure structural integrity.
- Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work with process, civil, and structural teams to resolve routing conflicts and clash detections.
- Documentation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), piping general arrangements, and technical specifications for procurement and construction.
- Site Support: Conduct field verifications and support construction or commissioning teams with technical queries.
- Software Proficiency: High familiarity with 3D modeling (SP3D, PDMS, E3D) and stress analysis (CAESAR II) tools.
- Code Knowledge: Strong understanding of international design codes and standards (such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1).
- Prepare 2D/3D piping layouts, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and detailed drawings.
- Design utility piping systems for pharmaceutical projects.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during project execution.
