Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ITI Fitter to join our mechanical manufacturing team in Hadapsar, Pune. The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and be familiar with mechanical fitting, assembly, tools, and basic machine shop practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation of industrial components.
- Carry out fitting and assembly work as per drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Handle hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting equipment.
- Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, filing, and other basic fitting operations.
- Assemble mechanical parts, shafts, bearings, couplings, gearboxes, and related components.
- Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and dimensions.
- Check component dimensions and ensure proper fitment and alignment.
- Assist in machine assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Identify fitting or assembly issues and coordinate with the production/engineering team for resolution.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of work as per production requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of measurements and tolerances.
- Knowledge of drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and fitting operations.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Good attention to quality and safety.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI – Fitter is mandatory.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, engineering, machinery, or industrial automation company.
- Candidates with hands-on mechanical assembly and fitting experience will be preferred.
