About the Program:
DMart Foundation’s Digital Literacy and Reading Programs aim to bridge critical gaps in access to technology and foundational literacy among students in government schools. The Digital Literacy Program enables students to become confident digital users by providing access to computer labs, trained teachers, and a research-backed, in-house curriculum. Implemented across multiple municipal corporations in Maharashtra, the program ensures a structured and well-supported learning environment through dedicated staff and robust infrastructure management. The Reading Program focuses on building strong literacy foundations for students in grades 1 to 8, helping them transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.” Through curated libraries, activity-based curriculum, and multilingual resources, the program fosters reading fluency, comprehension, and a lasting habit of reading.
A team of teachers and supervisors delivers these programs in each school. These educators receive ongoing training to ensure effective knowledge transfer. Together, these programs create engaging, inclusive learning spaces that equip students with essential skills to succeed in school and beyond.
About the Role:
The Associate Manager role is ideal for individuals passionate about transforming education, offering a unique opportunity to make a direct impact through hands-on support, active coordination, and regular engagement with schools.
This role involves playing a key part in implementing our programs at the grassroots level, working closely with our passionate team of teachers and supervisors, along with school stakeholders, and gathering valuable insights to drive programs forward.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and monitor DMart Foundation’s educational programs in the respective Municipal Corporation schools.
2. Provide guidance to the supervisors and teachers with classroom activities and learning sessions.
3. Conduct regular school visits to observe the classes, analyse the impact, give feedback, and ensure timely follow ups.
4. Maintain program records and assist in gathering basic data (attendance, resource usage, feedback, etc.).
5. Escalate day-to-day challenges to the program team, based out of Mumbai, for timely resolution.
6. Assist in conducting periodic training sessions.
7. Build relationships with school and respective municipal corporation education authorities to ensure smooth program functioning.
8. Provide key insights to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the program and explore newer opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Graduate/post-graduate in any field.
2. 3+ years of experience in the education sector - fellowships, academic coordination, NGO work in similar roles will be preferred.
3. Fluency in Hindi and a working knowledge of English.
4. Open to travel as and when required.
Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Ability to work independently under guidance.
3. Basic data management, documentation and presentation skills.
4. Comfortable using Computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
