Job Title: Fabric Department Executive – Upholstery

Job Summary
The Fabric Department Executive – Upholstery is responsible for fabric planning, ordering, sourcing coordination, inventory control, and issue of fabrics for upholstery production. The role ensures timely availability of approved fabrics, optimum utilization, minimal wastage, and smooth coordination between purchase, stores, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, raise, and track fabric orders as per production plan, BOM, and consumption norms
- Coordinate with vendors and purchase department for fabric pricing, lead time, and delivery schedules
- Ensure ordered fabric matches approved samples, shade, GSM, and quality standards
- Maintain fabric stock levels and ensure reorder levels are followed to avoid shortages
- Handle fabric inward verification, shade matching, and quality checks
- Issue fabric to upholstery and cutting sections as per approved requirements
- Monitor fabric cutting, usage, and wastage control
- Maintain accurate fabric inventory records, inward–outward entries, and stock reconciliation
- Manage fabric returns, rejections, replacements, and claims with vendors
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports for fabric ordering, consumption, stock, and variance
- Coordinate with upholstery supervisors and production planning team for smooth workflow
- Ensure proper fabric storage, labeling, and identification
- Follow company SOPs, quality standards, and audit requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of upholstery fabrics (leather, rexine, velvet, cotton, polyester, etc.)
- Understanding of fabric ordering, vendor coordination, and lead-time planning
- Knowledge of fabric cutting norms and consumption calculations
- Good analytical and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and cost-control mindset
- Working knowledge of Excel and ERP/MIS systems
Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma in Textile / Fashion / Production or equivalent
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in upholstery or furniture manufacturing
Experience Requirement
- Prior experience in fabric ordering and inventory management is mandatory
- Experience in sofa / furniture / upholstery manufacturing preferred

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
