Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager for the Ecommerce & Tech Marketing vertical, you will be responsible for acquiring new clients, growing revenue, and positioning Two99 as a preferred agency partner for brands looking to scale their digital commerce and marketing efforts. You will leverage your agency experience to understand client pain points, craft compelling proposals, and close deals across a range of digital marketing and ecommerce services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new business from D2C brands, ecommerce companies, retailers, and enterprises seeking digital marketing and ecommerce solutions.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry networking, and participation in marketing/ecommerce events.
- Conduct compelling pitches, presentations, and proposal walkthroughs tailored to each prospect’s business goals and challenges.
- Develop deep understanding of Two99’s service offerings including performance marketing, marketplace management (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.), SEO, content marketing, social media management, CRO, and martech solutions.
- Collaborate closely with strategy, delivery, and creative teams to develop customised proposals and scope-of-work documents.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and new client acquisition goals.
- Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation to deal closure and smooth handoff to account management.
- Stay up to date on ecommerce trends, platform updates, digital marketing innovations, and competitor offerings to position Two99 effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions in the CRM.
- Represent Two99 at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Nurture relationships with existing clients and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across verticals.
Must-Have Requirements
- 2–5 years of business development or sales experience within a digital marketing agency, ecommerce agency, or tech marketing services company – agency background is mandatory.
- Proven track record of selling digital marketing services such as performance marketing, SEO, social media, ecommerce management, or martech solutions to brands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to CMOs, marketing heads, ecommerce directors, and CXOs.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills – ability to craft and deliver persuasive pitches and proposals.
- Solid understanding of the ecommerce ecosystem (marketplaces, D2C platforms like Shopify/Magento, fulfilment, cataloguing) and digital marketing channels.
- Experience managing end-to-end sales cycles with deal sizes ranging from mid-market to enterprise-level accounts.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a WFO environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with an existing network in the brand/marketing community being a strong advantage.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience selling AI-powered marketing tools, marketing automation platforms, or data analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with martech stack – CRM tools, CDPs, marketing automation (HubSpot, CleverTap, MoEngage, etc.).
- Understanding of Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce) and emerging digital retail models.
- Exposure to international markets or cross-border ecommerce.
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Marketing/Business.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
