Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Mechanical Supervisor to support maintenance and smooth operation of machinery in our automotive component manufacturing facility. The candidate should have hands-on exposure to industrial equipment maintenance, breakdown handling, preventive maintenance, and shop-floor coordination.
Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to heat treatment plants, industrial furnaces, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and automotive manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
- Supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities across plant machinery and equipment.
- Attend machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with production teams for smooth machine availability.
Equipment & Utility Maintenance
- Monitor performance of mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Assist in maintenance of heat treatment furnaces and related mechanical systems.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and upkeep of machinery.
- Coordinate spare parts availability and maintenance schedules.
Shop-Floor Supervision
- Supervise technicians and maintenance helpers during shifts.
- Ensure timely execution of maintenance work and shutdown activities.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards in maintenance areas.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Report recurring machine issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase departments for maintenance requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow plant safety procedures and maintenance SOPs.
- Ensure safe handling of tools, machines, and maintenance equipment.
- Support implementation of 5S and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial machinery
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Exposure to preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Ability to supervise technicians and shop-floor activities
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic reporting and documentation capability
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 - 4 years experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing industry
- Exposure to heat treatment or furnace maintenance preferred
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
