Job Summary:
We are seeking a PRT English Teacher to deliver engaging and effective English language instruction for primary grade students and support their overall academic and communication development. The role is responsible for creating an interactive learning environment, implementing curriculum-based lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills through innovative teaching methodologies and classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the English curriculum and academic standards.
· Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and effective student behavior management.
· Teach foundational English language skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, phonics, and spoken communication.
· Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, class activities, projects, tests, and other assessment methods to provide timely feedback and improve learning outcomes.
· Use a variety of teaching methodologies, learning resources, digital tools, and classroom activities to enhance student engagement and language proficiency.
· Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and overall development.
· Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and student performance.
· Participate actively in school events, literary activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development initiatives.
· Encourage creativity, critical thinking, confidence, and effective communication skills among students.
· Support the holistic development and well-being of students in alignment with the school’s values and educational objectives.
Desired Candidates Qualifications
· Graduation in English or relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
· Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teacher training qualification from a recognized university / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is preferred.
· 0 – 3 years of teaching experience as a Primary English Teacher or relevant teaching role.
· Strong command over English language, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
· Creativity in lesson planning and classroom activities with a passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
· Knowledge of child development and modern teaching methodologies.
· Ability to use technology and digital learning tools effectively in classroom teaching.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
