About us:
ConveGenius is an AI-native education infrastructure company transforming how governments, enterprises, and social institutions deliver learning and governance outcomes at population scale. Operating across B2G and B2B segments, the company partners with state governments, CSR funders, philanthropies, and social enterprises to build intelligent education ecosystems that are both impactful and commercially sustainable.
At its core, ConveGenius runs two synergistic business lines:
-
SwiftAI – the intelligence and automation layer that powers citizen engagement, governance efficiency, and real-time decision-making for governments and institutions.
-
SwiftSchool – the learning infrastructure layer that integrates adaptive learning, digital classrooms, and analytics to drive measurable student and system outcomes.
This dual-engine model enables ConveGenius to serve as the technology backbone for education reform — connecting classrooms, communities, and command centres through a unified AI-powered framework. Unlike traditional edtech companies that deliver content, ConveGenius builds infrastructure — platforms that integrate deeply into public delivery systems while enabling private and philanthropic partners to scale their missions with measurable results.
With operations across 22+ Indian states and partnerships with multilaterals, CSR alliances, and government departments, ConveGenius has established itself as a partner-friendly enterprise trusted for aligning policy priorities with social and financial returns. Supported by institutional investors and guided by a double bottom line philosophy, the company consistently delivers impact at scale and profitability with purpose.
As ConveGenius enters its next phase of growth, it is shaping the future of AI-led public education infrastructure — where technology, partnerships, and governance intelligence converge to redefine how nations learn and thrive.

About the Role:
Looking for a Corporate Associate to join our in-house legal team. This role is primarily focused on corporate and company law matters — including NCLT proceedings, corporate team support, and tender/RFP filings — with working knowledge of labour law and the ability to step into litigation and regulatory matters as they arise. The ideal candidate brings a strong corporate law firm background (or comparable in-house experience), is comfortable owning corporate matters end-to-end, and has enough litigation/labour exposure to handle disputes confidently when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as part of the core corporate team, advising on company law matters under the Companies Act, 2013 — board and shareholder matters, corporate restructuring, statutory filings, and coordination with company secretarial functions.
-
Independently handle NCLT/NCLAT matters relating to the company, including petitions, restructuring proceedings, and coordination with external counsel on tribunal strategy and filings.
-
Review, draft, and finalize tender filings, RFP (Request for Proposal) documentation, bid responses, and related contractual terms to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
-
Draft, vet, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts arising from corporate and procurement activity, ensuring alignment with internal policy and applicable law.
-
Support and, where required, independently manage corporate litigation matters — including drafting pleadings, replies, and affidavits, and briefing/coordinating with external counsel.
-
Advise on labour law compliance as needed, including industrial relations matters, statutory labour filings, and liaison with labour authorities/inspectors.
-
Liaise with regulators, government departments, and statutory bodies on corporate, licensing, and compliance matters.
-
Maintain trackers for corporate filings, tender submissions, and (where applicable) litigation matters, with periodic reporting to the Head of Legal/senior stakeholders.
-
Support cross-functional teams (HR, Procurement, Finance) on legal queries arising from corporate, tender, and labour matters.
Qualifications:
- LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) from a recognized university; enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
-
2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate team at a law firm, or a comparable in-house legal role with predominantly corporate work.
-
Strong working knowledge of company law (Companies Act, 2013) and allied regulations, with demonstrated experience handling matters before the NCLT.
-
Prior experience reviewing or drafting tender documentation, RFPs, and related bid/contract compliance is required.
-
Working knowledge of labour and employment law and corporate litigation, with the ability to confidently handle disputes, statutory labour matters, or tribunal/court filings as and when they arise — this need not be the primary focus of prior experience, but exposure is expected.
-
Strong drafting, legal research, and written communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple matters independently, prioritize effectively, and work directly with external counsel and regulators.
-
Prior experience in a reputed law firm's corporate team, or an in-house corporate legal team with a similar matter mix (company law, NCLT, tenders/RFPs).
-
Some exposure to arbitration, dispute resolution, or labour proceedings, even if not a primary area of practice.
-
High ownership, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to communicate legal risk clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
