The IT Manager – Software & Applications will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s software applications, IT systems, business applications, and end-user technical requirements. The role will ensure the smooth functioning of software and systems, timely resolution of technical issues, effective vendor coordination, data security, and continuous improvement of IT processes.
The position will work closely with HR, Finance, Sales, Operations, and other departments to understand business requirements and provide effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities1. Software & Application Management
- Manage, maintain, and monitor company software applications and business systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot software-related issues.
- Coordinate with software vendors for implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Monitor application performance and ensure uninterrupted system availability.
- Evaluate software requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
2. IT User Support
- Provide day-to-day IT and technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, network, system, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and required applications.
- Create and manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions.
- Maintain records of IT assets, software licenses, and user access.
3. PHARMA CLOUD/ HRMS / Business Applications
- Manage and support PHARMA CLOUD, ZOHO HRMS, TALLY , CRM, and other business applications.
- Provide technical support to HR and other departments for system-related requirements.
- Ensure employee and business data is maintained accurately within relevant systems.
- Coordinate software customization, configuration, and integration requirements.
- Support implementation of new software and business applications.
- Conduct user training wherever required.
4. Database & Data Management
- Assist in database administration, data maintenance, and data integrity.
- Ensure regular data backup and availability of critical business information.
- Maintain appropriate data access controls and permissions.
- Support MIS and management reporting requirements.
- Monitor and resolve data-related issues.
5. Network & System Administration
- Coordinate with internal/external IT teams for network and infrastructure-related issues.
- Monitor LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, printers, servers, and other IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot system and connectivity issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of IT infrastructure.
6. IT Security & Data Protection
- Manage user access controls and system permissions.
- Ensure antivirus, security patches, updates, and other system protection measures are maintained.
- Implement and follow company IT security policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company information and business data.
- Support data protection and backup practices.
7. Vendor & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with external IT, software, hardware, and service providers.
- Follow up on software development, customization, maintenance, and technical support.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
- Participate in software implementation, system upgrades, and IT improvement projects.
- Maintain proper records of vendor communications and service activities.
8. Documentation & MIS Reporting
- Maintain IT asset, software license, user access, and system records.
- Prepare IT-related MIS and management reports.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, technical issues, and resolutions.
- Develop and maintain IT process documentation and SOPs.
- Maintain records of software implementation, changes, and upgrades.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of software applications, IT systems, and application support.
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and technical troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of CLOUD, HRMS, Payroll, TALLY and business applications.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of networking, system administration, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good vendor management and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT requirements.
- Ability to provide technical support and training to end users.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Zoho People, Zoho Payroll, CLOUD, CRM, Attendance Management Systems, and similar business applications.
- Experience in software implementation, customization, integration, and user training.
- Knowledge of Pharma Cloud or pharmaceutical industry-specific software will be an advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical organization will be preferred.
- Knowledge of IT security, data backup, and system access management.
Educational Qualification
Mandatory Qualification:
- B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA / MCA
Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT Software, Application Support, ERP/HRMS Support, or System Administration.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in managing business applications and providing end-user support will be preferred.
