JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Design and implement backend features in Python with clean, maintainable code (PEP8, typing, modular structure).
Write reusable libraries/modules (configuration, logging, auth helpers, DB utilities, HTTP clients).
Handle concurrency/asynchronicity where needed (async/await, background jobs, task queues).
Build backend services in Python: implement business logic, validation, error handling, performance tuning, clean code + testing (unit/integration).
Microservices engineering: define service boundaries, inter-service communication (REST/events), API versioning, resiliency patterns (timeouts/retries/idempotency), distributed tracing/logging.
Data & integrations: work with SQL/NoSQL, caching (e.g., Redis), message queues/streams, and external third party APIs.
Containerization (Docker): create/maintain Dockerfiles, optimize image size/builds, manage local dev via compose, basic vulnerability hygiene.
Kubernetes deployments: write/maintain manifests/Helm, configure probes/resources/autoscaling, manage ingress/rollouts, troubleshoot pods/networking.
Observability & reliability: metrics/logs/traces, ing, incident support, postmortems, reliability improvements.
Basic LLM engineering: integrate LLM APIs, prompt/templates versioning, structured JSON outputs + validation, simple RAG (embeddings + vector search), guardrails (PII redaction/rate limits), cost/latency monitoring and fallbacks.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Mathematics or Statistics, Computational linguistics,
Engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Designed, developed, and maintained Python backend APIs using FastAPI/Sanic to deliver scalable microservices for core business workflows.
Built RESTful services including request validation (Pydantic), standardized error handling, pagination/filtering, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation for internal and external consumers.
Implemented authentication and authorization (JWT/OAuth2, RBAC), enforced secure coding practices, and integrated secrets management for production deployments.
Developed microservices with strong reliability patterns: timeouts, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, circuit-breaker style safeguards, and graceful degradation for downstream failures.
Integrated data layers: designed schemas and queries for PostgreSQL/MySQL (and/or NoSQL), implemented connection pooling, and introduced caching using Redis to reduce latency.
Built asynchronous/background processing for long-running workloads (e.g., document ingestion, LLM calls, notifications) using Celery/RQ/async tasks and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS as applicable).
