Role description
1.Carry out computational research to develop process simulation and control models for iron making process
2. Perform heat and material balance calculations for the ironmaking process to assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and energy requirements
3. Performing plant trials to generate data, demonstrate research findings etc
4. Perform metallurgical process simulations across multiple unit operations and reactors
5. Carry out high temperature experiments to validate process models and evaluate to key performance indicators (KPIs) for ironmaking process
6. Apply knowledge in metallurgy to build high temperature lab scale/pilot scale experimental setup, specific to slag property measurements
7. Perform data-based process modelling of ironmaking operations to quantify and evaluate KPIs.
8. Initiate and drive new research projects of R&D
9. Develop ideas and concepts to mature technologies to a certain readiness level
10. Deliver on technical projects by planning and executing different tasks by leveraging technical skills and implement new product design/process concept in plants
11. Contribute in multi-disciplinary discussion to enable team for future advancements
12. Takes part in managing different research labs, resources, procurement and safet
