- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in environment, health and safety (EHS).
- EHS related licenses, or certifications (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or similar).
- Experience managing campus operations with a focus on compliance, research labs, permitting, employee safety, and emergency management.
- Experience working in a cross functional team environment in close partnership with facility management teams, security, and business leadership.
- Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment; strong analytical and technical skills including the use of AI tools.

As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop exceptional programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
- Develop and integrate safety solutions based on risk assessments to maximize worker protection in R&D, lab settings and office environments.
- Oversee the creation of procedures, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure safety solutions scale across the region.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as security and facilities to embed safety protocols into daily operations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments; draft high-level reports for leadership on site safety and health.
- Lead incident investigations, incident response and tactical exercises. Support all campus compliance with local, national, and state environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulations along with company standards.
