Rays is looking for an experienced Category Manager – Foundation to lead the academic vision, product strategy, execution quality, and business performance of the Foundation portfolio. The role will focus on building an engaging and rigorous learning journey that improves school performance while preparing students for future competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the long-term vision and annual operating plan for the Foundation category.
- Own curriculum design for Mathematics, Science, and Mental Ability.
- Ensure curriculum alignment with relevant school boards and competitive-exam pathways.
- Maintain high standards for lesson plans, study materials, question banks, assessments, and revision programs.
- Set academic benchmarks and use student-performance data to identify learning gaps and interventions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop academic leads and faculty members.
- Ensure consistent academic delivery across centres and online/hybrid formats.
- Develop dashboards to track attendance, engagement, syllabus completion, assessment performance, faculty effectiveness, retention, and feedback.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Centre Operations, Technology, Content, Finance, and HR teams.
- Support seminars, scholarship tests, parent engagement, and student-enrolment initiatives.
- Track curriculum trends and learner needs and introduce new academic formats and tools responsibly.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of school-level academics, particularly Classes 8– 10.
- Excellent knowledge of Mathematics, Science, and Mental Ability curriculum development.
- Strong academic leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution ability.
- Data-driven approach to academic and business decisions.
