A store manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales growth, managing staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service to meet financial targets. Key duties include hiring and training employees, maintaining visual merchandising standards, implementing promotional strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.
Core Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Overseeing daily opening/closing, ensuring store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Sales and Performance: Driving sales to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates and average transaction value.
- Staff Leadership: training, scheduling, and mentoring employees to build a motivated and high-performing team.
- Inventory Control: Managing stock levels, conducting inventory audits, reducing shrinkage, and coordinating with suppliers for replenishment.
- Customer Experience: Resolving customer complaints promptly, ensuring high service quality, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Merchandising and Marketing: Implementing visual merchandising standards, promotions, and displays as per brand guidelines.
- Financial Management: Preparing reports on sales, managing budgets, and controlling operational costs.
