Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Enterprise Networking & Zscaler Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing network services while supporting transformation initiatives aligned with Zero Trust and modern cloud-delivered security architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cisco networking environments, Zscaler ZIA and ZPA administration, enterprise WAN technologies, and network security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN environments.
- Configure and manage Cisco networking infrastructure supporting routing, switching, and enterprise connectivity services.
- Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization.
- Monitor network availability and resolve network performance issues to minimize downtime.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Maintain network diagrams, operational procedures, standards, and technical documentation.
- Support Cisco SD-WAN OR Enterprise WAN/SD-WAN environments based on business requirements.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions.
- Implement and maintain Zero Trust OR SASE/SSE concepts within the enterprise security architecture.
- Manage secure access policies, application access controls, and traffic forwarding configurations.
- Optimize connectivity through GRE/IPSec tunnels and Client Connector deployments.
- Monitor security events and collaborate with security teams on incident investigation and remediation activities.
- Implement and enforce network security controls and organizational security policies.
- Support firewall administration, VPN services, and network segmentation initiatives.
- Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
- Perform vulnerability remediation and support security incident response efforts.
- Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across on-premises and cloud-connected environments.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and implement preventive measures.
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve critical incidents.
- Participate in on-call and escalation support rotations as required.
