Position Summary
The Restaurant Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the restaurant's building, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and guest-facing areas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs within hospitality, restaurant, retail, or commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance
- Repair doors, locks, handles, hinges, and door closers.
- Perform wall repairs, painting touch-ups, and minor carpentry work.
- Maintain flooring, tiles, stair nosing, and handrails.
- Repair and maintain tables, chairs, booths, and furniture.
- Maintain signage, fixtures, and general building appearance.
Plumbing
- Repair leaks, faucets, sinks, drains, and water lines.
- Maintain RO systems and related plumbing equipment.
- Troubleshoot restroom plumbing issues.
- Unclog drains and maintain grease traps.
Electrical
- Replace lights, switches, outlets, and electrical fixtures.
- Troubleshoot minor electrical issues safely.
- Maintain indoor and outdoor lighting systems.
- Coordinate with licensed electricians for major repairs.
Kitchen Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect and maintain ovens, fryers, ranges, tandoors, mixers, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate service providers for major equipment repairs.
HVAC & Refrigeration
- Clean filters, vents, and air circulation systems.
- Monitor refrigeration temperatures and performance.
- Coordinate HVAC servicing and repairs.
- Assist in maintaining exhaust hoods and ventilation systems.
Restaurant Appearance
- Repair woodwork, counters, and surface finishes.
- Refinish tables and touch up furniture as needed.
- Maintain patio, exterior, and outdoor guest areas.
- Ensure all guest-facing areas are clean, safe, and presentable.
Safety & Compliance
- Inspect fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and safety equipment.
- Maintain required safety signage.
- Identify and report hazards immediately.
- Complete maintenance records and logs accurately.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct weekly building inspections.
- Perform monthly equipment inspections.
- Complete quarterly preventive maintenance checklists.
- Track maintenance activities, repairs, and associated costs.
Daily Responsibilities
- Walk through the restaurant and identify maintenance issues.
- Inspect restrooms, lighting, doors, and locks.
- Check kitchen equipment functionality.
- Complete maintenance requests promptly.
- Update maintenance logs and repair records.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in restaurants, hotels, retail, commercial facilities, or similar environments.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as required.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
