Job Description-
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design, build, secure, and manage cloud-based analytics and AI platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to enable scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud environments for AI/ML and data workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Platform Engineering
Design and manage cloud infrastructure for analytics and AI workloads.
Build scalable, secure, and highly available environments across development, testing, and production.
Support multi-tenant analytics platforms with strong governance and isolation.
Analytics & AI Platform Enablement
Provision and maintain data lakes, distributed compute platforms, and ML infrastructure.
Support batch and streaming analytics workloads.
Enable AI/ML model training, deployment, and experimentation infrastructure.
Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to improve platform performance and reliability.
Security, Compliance & Governance
Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, private networking, and secure access controls.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
Enable monitoring, audit logging, and governance policies across analytics platforms.
Infrastructure Automation & DevOps
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
Build automated provisioning and deployment pipelines.
Support CI/CD processes for analytics and AI workloads.
Cloud Operations & Reliability
Monitor platform performance, health, and availability.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform-related issues.
Implement observability, alerting, and incident management practices.
Cloud Cost Optimization
Monitor and optimize cloud spending for analytics and AI workloads.
Implement cost-saving strategies such as auto-scaling and right-sizing.
Provide cost visibility and optimization recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience supporting analytics, data engineering, or AI/ML platforms in cloud environments.
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Databricks, Synapse, EMR, BigQuery, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to regulated industries such as Healthcare or Financial Services.
Cloud certifications are an added advantage.
