For the position of Sr Executive- Sourcing Vendor Development
Location: Vasai
Sr Purchase Executive: Being the part team purchase of the product company, you will be play key role in bringing about Vendor Management excellence in core area of Evolute Group.
The opportunity:
This position is in Sr Executive Category. The candidate should have ownership/leadership roles prior than this in line with respect to Vendor Auditing/ Assessment Vendor Sourcing initiatives. It is fantastic opportunity to lead a multi-business organization by brining material sourcing operation, adopting new technologies and teamwork towards operation excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic responsibilities –
- Drive vendor management practices aligned with organizational objectives across procurement, quality, cost, and compliance.
- Develop and strengthen a robust and compliant vendor ecosystem for both direct and indirect procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Legal, Finance, Operations, ESG/Compliance) to enhance supplier governance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers focusing on cost optimization, quality, delivery reliability, and sustainability.
- Manage vendor relationships including commercial negotiations and contract alignment with organizational and legal requirements
2. Functional responsibilities –
- Lead vendor sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding for direct (production) and indirect (non-production) categories.
- Conduct supplier assessments including capability evaluation, financial stability checks, and risk profiling.
- Perform supplier audits and factory visits to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance.
- Ensure supplier adherence to statutory, regulatory, ethical, ESG, and company-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and manage supplier agreements (NDAs, contracts, commercial terms) in collaboration with Legal and Purchase Head.
- Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and supplier master data.
- Monitor vendor performance across quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance parameters.
- Drive resolution of vendor-related issues such as quality deviations, continuous delivery delays, and compliance gaps.
- Ensure availability and accuracy of procurement documentation for internal and external audits.
- Actively participate in internal and external audits and support audit readiness.
- Collaborate with Quality/QA teams to strengthen process understanding and supplier performance.
To qualify for the role, you must have –
1. Graduate with 3–5 years of experience in sourcing and vendor development.
2. Hands-on experience in vendor assessment, supplier audits, and factory evaluations.
3. Strong understanding of procurement processes (direct and indirect).
4. Working knowledge of supplier compliance, quality systems, and statutory requirements.
5. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems.
6. Willingness to travel (~40%) for vendor audits and factory visits.

- Experience in cost-reduction projects and value engineering initiatives.
- Familiarity with digital procurement tools, supplier portals, or audit management systems.
- Prior experience in regulated or compliance-intensive industries.
- Quality Tools Practical Knowledge: 7 QC Tools, 5S, Kaizen, Poka Yoke, Root Cause Analysis (8D, Why-Why).
- QMS Knowledge ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification.
Any Graduate with Minimum 3-5 years of Experience in Purchase, Strategic Sourcing, or Vendor Management.
