Job Summary
The Business Development Executive – Retail Expansion will be responsible for identifying new retail locations, conducting market research, negotiating commercial terms, coordinating store acquisition activities, and supporting the end-to-end store expansion process. The role requires frequent travel, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with landlords, brokers, mall developers, and channel partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Expansion
- Identify potential retail locations based on business strategy and market potential.
- Conduct market surveys to evaluate catchment areas, footfall, competition, demographics, and customer profiles.
- Prepare site feasibility reports with recommendations.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective retail properties.
Property Acquisition
- Coordinate with landlords, brokers, developers, and mall management teams.
- Negotiate commercial terms including rent, deposits, CAM charges, lock-in periods, and lease conditions.
- Ensure all commercial negotiations are aligned with company guidelines.
- Support legal and documentation processes until agreement execution.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor expansion and retail trends.
- Identify emerging markets and high-growth locations.
- Maintain an updated database of available properties and broker networks.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, Projects, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams for smooth store opening.
- Track project timelines from site identification to store launch.
- Ensure all approvals and documentation are completed within timelines.
Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with property owners, developers, brokers, and mall authorities.
- Represent Knya during site visits, commercial discussions, and property negotiations.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain expansion trackers and property databases.
- Prepare weekly and monthly expansion reports.
- Present site analysis and business cases to management.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
