About the role
As a Technical Program Manager, you will sit at the intersection of Product , engineering, finance, and operations. You aren’t just tracking tasks; you are the engine that keeps the product delivery machine running smoothly. You will be responsible for the end-to-end health of the capability, ensuring that financial targets are met, risks are mitigated, and cross-functional silos are broken down
You will be responsible for
- Financial & Resource Stewardship: Take full ownership of the capability’s budget. This includes managing the Product and People cost, tracking actual spend vs. budget, and ensuring the team scales efficiently without overspending.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external partners. You will handle contract negotiations, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure vendors deliver high-quality output on time.
- Operational Rhythm (The Pulse): Lead the Weekly Pulse meetings across all functions (Eng, Product, Design, QA). You ensure everyone is aligned, progress is visible, and the "vibe" of the capability remains focused and productive.
- Risk Mitigation & Reporting: Proactively identify blockers before they become crises. You will maintain a robust Risk Tracker and translate complex technical hurdles into clear, actionable reports for the leadership team.
- Leadership Presence & Health Metrics: Own the Monthly Leadership Review. You will present comprehensive data on finance, headcount, and team health (attrition, velocity, and morale), providing a transparent view of the capability’s status.
- Cross-Functional De-risking: Serve as the "bridge-builder." Your job is to identify and resolve dependencies between different teams, ensuring that no technical or process bottleneck slows down the release cycle.
You will need
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a technical role within the software industry.
- Finance Acumen: Proficiency in Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expense (OpEx) management. Familiarity with headcount planning and ROI analysis.
- Methodologies: Deep expertise in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban. PMP or CSM certifications are a plus.
- Tools: Mastery of JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel (for financial modeling), and BI tools (Tableau/PowerBI) for executive reporting. Observability tools is added advantage.

- Strategic Influence: Ability to push back on stakeholders and vendors while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Analytical Thinking: You can look at a spreadsheet of costs and a project roadmap and see the direct correlation between the two.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill technical jargon into executive-level insights.
- Conflict Resolution: A proven track record of navigating "turf wars" between engineering and product teams to find a win-win path forward.
