Maternity & Labour Care
- Monitor maternal vitals and foetal heart rate during labour (CTG) Assist in normal deliveries, episiotomy, and emergency obstetric situations Manage third stage of labour; administer oxytocin and control post-partum haemorrhage Assist in C-section preparation, scrubbing, and post-operative recovery Perform newborn APGAR scoring, initial neonatal assessment, and cord care Support breastfeeding initiation and provide postpartum patient education
Gynaecology Care
- Assist in gynaecological procedures: D&C, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and minor OT cases Pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing gynaecological surgeries (hysterectomy, myomectomy, laparoscopy) Care for patients with conditions such as PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and pelvic infections Assist with gynaecological examinations, Pap smears, and IUD insertions Provide patient education on menstrual health, contraception, and reproductive wellness Support oncology nursing care for cervical, uterine, or ovarian cancer patients as required
General Ward Duties
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as prescribed Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, and shift handover documentation Manage ward stock, consumables, and infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate critical cases to the medical team Provide compassionate, dignified care respecting patient privacy at all times
