Job Summary
Sabari Engineering Co. is looking for a Billing & Quantity Engineer to manage quantity measurement, project billing, BOQ management, subcontractor billing, rate analysis and related commercial documentation for building construction projects.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate measurement of work executed at site, timely preparation of RA Bills, verification of subcontractor bills and proper maintenance of quantity and billing records.
Key Responsibilities1. Quantity Measurement & Take-Off
- Prepare quantity take-offs from structural and architectural drawings.
- Calculate quantities for RCC, reinforcement, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, finishing and other civil works.
- Conduct and verify site measurements of work executed.
- Prepare detailed measurement sheets and billing abstracts.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers for measurement verification.
2. Client & Project Billing
- Prepare RA Bills and Final Bills based on actual work executed.
- Verify quantities and rates as per approved BOQ and contract/work order.
- Prepare billing abstracts and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely submission of bills.
- Track submitted, certified, pending and rejected bills.
3. Subcontractor Billing
- Verify subcontractor bills against actual work executed.
- Check quantities and rates against approved BOQ/work orders.
- Coordinate for joint measurements with Site Engineers and subcontractors.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate for corrections.
- Ensure timely verification and certification of subcontractor bills.
4. BOQ Management
- Prepare and maintain project BOQs.
- Monitor BOQ quantities against actual executed quantities.
- Maintain item-wise records of executed, billed and balance quantities.
- Identify excess, reduced and unbilled quantities.
- Update quantities based on approved drawings and revisions.
5. Rate Analysis & Variations
- Prepare rate analysis for extra and non-BOQ items.
- Identify extra works, deviations and variation items.
- Prepare quantity calculations and supporting documents for variation claims.
- Assist in preparing revised quantities and cost implications.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain measurement sheets, BOQ, RA Bills, work orders and billing registers.
- Prepare monthly billing and quantity reports.
- Maintain records of approved drawings and revisions affecting quantities.
- Coordinate with Accounts for bill processing and payment status.
- Maintain complete billing documentation for final settlement and project records.
7. Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, Planning Team, Accounts, Consultants and Subcontractors regarding billing and quantity matters.
- Attend site inspections for measurement verification.
- Resolve quantity and billing discrepancies with the concerned team.
- Provide quantity and billing information required for project cost control.

Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Candidates with relevant Quantity Surveying/Billing experience will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Billing / Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in residential, commercial or building construction projects preferred.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of BOQ and quantity take-off.
- Strong knowledge of RA Bills and Final Bills.
- Knowledge of subcontractor billing.
- Knowledge of rate analysis and variation items.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage.
- Good documentation and analytical skills.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.

- Practical experience in building construction billing.

- Ability to independently handle billing and quantity-related activities.
- Comfortable coordinating with site teams and subcontractors.
