1. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, MEP, interior, and external development drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with project specifications, standard methods of measurement, and tender requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis, and project cost plans.
- Review tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents, and identify discrepancies, omissions, and scope gaps.
- Prepare tender documentation, bid comparison statements, and technical/commercial evaluations.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor RA Bills, Final Bills, and payment certificates.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders, additional items, and quantity reconciliation statements.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and site teams for quantity verification and technical clarifications.
- Maintain records of BOQs, estimates, variations, contracts, and project cost reports.
- Prepare value engineering proposals and recommend cost optimization measures without compromising quality.
- Assist in procurement activities, including preparation of enquiry BOQs, technical bid evaluations, and vendor comparisons.
- Review material consumption, material reconciliation statements, and wastage reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract conditions, and approved standards.
- Support senior management in preparing project budgets, forecasts, and final account settlements.
2. RequirementsEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building construction, interiors, commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
- Experience in estimation, cost planning, and rate analysis.
- Sound understanding of tendering procedures and procurement processes.
- Experience in contractor billing, subcontractor billing, and quantity verification.
- Knowledge of variation orders, claims, final accounts, and cost reporting.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Familiarity with Standard Methods of Measurement (SMM), CPWD Specifications, DSR, IS Codes, or equivalent industry standards.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and project execution practices.
- Experience in preparing technical specifications and approved make lists is desirable.
Software Proficiency
- Microsoft Excel

- Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Quantity Surveying/ERP software (CostX, Candy, Planswift, or equivalent) – preferred
