Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to manage medicines, prescriptions, inventory, and patient requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable pharmacy standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately according to valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions and check dosage, medication, and patient information.
- Provide patients with proper instructions regarding medication usage, dosage, and precautions.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and received.
- Monitor medicine stock, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Order and receive medicines and pharmacy supplies as required.
- Maintain proper inventory records and prevent stock shortages or wastage.
- Ensure medicines are stored safely and according to required conditions.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, suppliers, and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Handle customer/patient queries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
- Follow applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.
- Report damaged, expired, or recalled medicines according to company procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and dosage forms.
- Good understanding of pharmacy practices and medication safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Strong inventory-management skills.
- Basic computer and pharmacy software knowledge.
- Ability to work responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Qualification & Experience
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid pharmacist registration/license as required by applicable regulations.
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Freshers may also be considered depending on the position.
