A Blocks Nexus is building EnsureInsured, a blockchain-powered insurance verification and enforcement ecosystem designed to modernize insurance compliance, fraud prevention, policy verification, and regulatory enforcement through secure digital infrastructure.
The platform leverages Hyperledger Fabric, cloud-native architecture, mobile applications, government dashboards, insurer integrations, and modern API-driven services to create a trusted ecosystem connecting governments, insurers, enforcement agencies, and citizens.
As we scale our engineering organization, we are seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Engineer to help implement DevOps, Cloud, and Site-Reliability.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize modern "AI powered" engineering tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, or equivalent platforms to accelerate development, improve software quality, enhance testing, automate repetitive tasks, and increase engineering productivity. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in "a human plus AI" development environment while maintaining strong software engineering fundamentals, security awareness, and code quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, and deployment.
- Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across environments.
- Implement cloud security best practices and infrastructure hardening measures.
- Optimize infrastructure for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and QA teams to support platform releases.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, deployment procedures, and runbooks.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, DNS, and infrastructure architecture.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with Linux system administration and scripting.
- Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and infrastructure hardening best practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting production environments and supporting high-availability systems.
