About the Role
Heritage International School is looking for a passionate and energetic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to build a strong sports culture and promote holistic development among students.
We are seeking a motivated professional who can train students in multiple sports, prepare teams for competitions, and instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership through structured physical education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for primary and secondary grades
- Train students in sports such as football, basketball, cricket, athletics, volleyball, kho-kho, etc.
- Coach and prepare teams for inter-school and district-level competitions
- Organize Annual Sports Day and intra-school tournaments
- Conduct fitness assessments and track student progress
- Ensure student safety and proper use of sports equipment
- Promote sportsmanship, resilience, and healthy lifestyle habits
Required Qualifications
- B.P.Ed. or M.P.Ed. (Mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of school teaching experience preferred
- Experience coaching school teams for competitions
- First Aid / CPR certification (preferred)
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and group management skills
- Excellent communication and motivational ability
- Knowledge of sports rules, training methods, and fitness techniques
- Ability to handle large student groups safely and effectively
- Energetic, disciplined, and student-focused
