We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible, and experienced Accountant to join our client’s wholesale jewellery showroom. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting operations with minimal supervision. As this is an immediate operational role, no training will be provided, so candidates must already possess the required accounting knowledge and practical experience. Candidates with prior experience or knowledge in the Jewellery Industry or Share Market/Stock Trading Accounting will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Record purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain cash, bank, and ledger accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation.
- Prepare GST reports and ensure statutory compliance.
- Generate invoices and maintain billing records.
- Maintain inventory-related accounting records.
- Prepare financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
- Coordinate with auditors, CAs, and management whenever required.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime (Mandatory).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Experience: 6 months +
- Candidates must be capable of handling complete accounting responsibilities from Day 1.
- Experience or strong knowledge of the Jewellery Industry is preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in Share Market/Stock Market Accounting will also be considered an advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
