Role Description The Architect will work on-site full time at DN Architects’ Chennai office, leading the design and coordination of architectural projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, and collaborating with structural, MEP, and interior design teams to ensure integrated project solutions. The role involves meeting with clients to understand requirements, presenting design options, and incorporating feedback while maintaining project feasibility, safety, and compliance with local codes and regulations. The Architect will also oversee documentation, support site execution and supervision, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and assist in resolving design and construction issues as they arise. Regular tasks include updating project schedules, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and firm-wide best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong architectural design and spatial planning skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional, aesthetic, and sustainable solutions.
- Proficiency in architectural drafting and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM platforms) and familiarity with presentation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Solid understanding of building codes, local regulations, construction methods, and materials relevant to projects in Chennai and the broader region.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors, to deliver cohesive project outcomes.
- Strong project management abilities, including time management, documentation, and organization skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, design presentations, and clear documentation of design intent.
- Ability to work on-site, participate in site visits, monitor progress, and support resolution of technical and design issues during construction.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional licensure/registration or eligibility is preferred.
- Experience in commercial, or mixed-use projects is an advantage; familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards is a plus.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
