ABOUT LAKYOU BEAUTY
Lakyou Beauty is a fast-growing D2C beauty brand based in Mumbai, passionate about celebrating authentic beauty. Our content-first culture means we are always creating, always storytelling, and always pushing creative boundaries. We are looking for a talented Video Editor to join our in-house creative team and help us produce compelling visual content across all digital platforms.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Video Editor at Lakyou Beauty, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content for social media, e-commerce, influencer campaigns, and product launches. You will work closely with our Social Media, Graphic Design, and Influencer Marketing teams to bring our brand story to life through video.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
- Edit product videos, tutorials, unboxing videos, and brand films
- Add motion graphics, transitions, text overlays, and sound design
- Collaborate with the Social Media team on content calendar video deliverables
- Edit influencer raw footage for brand-approved content
- Create compelling e-commerce product videos for the website and marketplace listings
- Ensure all videos are optimised for platform-specific formats and aspect ratios
- Maintain a consistent brand aesthetic and tone across all video output
- Manage video asset library and ensure timely delivery of content
- Stay updated on video trends, editing styles, and platform algorithm changes
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects for basic motion graphics is a plus
- Understanding of colour grading and audio mixing basics
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form formats
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing work
- Good communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback
- Basic knowledge of Canva or Adobe Photoshop is an advantage
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Film, Media Production, Mass Communication, or related field
- OR equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio
- 0 – 2 years of professional video editing experience (Freshers with strong portfolios encouraged to apply)
