Job Title: Head Chef – Continental & Italian Cuisine

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef specializing in Continental and Italian cuisine to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for menu development, food quality, team management, cost control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Develop and create innovative Continental and Italian dishes, seasonal menus, and special offerings.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor and control food costs, wastage, and kitchen expenses to achieve target food cost percentages.
- Conduct recipe standardization, costing, and portion control.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to build a high-performing team.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory, stock ordering, and vendor coordination.
- Work closely with management to improve guest satisfaction and profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Continental and Italian cuisine, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or Sous Chef role.
- Strong knowledge of recipe costing, inventory management, and food cost control.
- Proven experience in team leadership, hiring, and staff development.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and menu concepts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in pasta, risotto, pizzas, grills, sauces, and European cuisine.
- Menu engineering and kitchen budgeting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment.
Salary: As per industry standards and experience. Employment Type: Full-Time
