Job Summary
The Purchase & Inventory Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and inventory operations for the organization. The role ensures timely sourcing of materials, vendor management, cost optimization, stock availability, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company policies across all QSR outlets and central kitchens. The position plays a critical role in controlling food costs, minimizing wastage, and ensuring uninterrupted restaurant operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase Management
- Plan and execute procurement of food ingredients, packaging materials, consumables, and operational supplies.
- Source and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality, pricing, and service levels.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approvals and processing.
- Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct periodic market surveys and benchmarking for pricing and product quality.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to all outlets and central kitchens.
- Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and vendor payments.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor agreements.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels across outlets, warehouses, and central kitchens.
- Ensure optimum stock availability while avoiding overstocking and stock shortages.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock audits.
- Monitor stock transfers between outlets and warehouses.
- Ensure proper inventory recording and reconciliation in ERP/POS systems.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory practices to minimize wastage and expiry losses.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor food cost, packaging cost, and inventory consumption.
- Analyze purchase trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare monthly inventory and procurement MIS reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and inventory optimization.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Store & Warehouse Operations
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and issuance of inventory.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards in stores and warehouses.
- Verify goods received against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and food safety standards.
Team Management
- Supervise Inventory Executives, Storekeepers, and Purchase Coordinators.
- Train teams on procurement and inventory management processes.
- Monitor team performance and ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Additional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management is preferred.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Purchase and Inventory Management.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in QSR, Restaurant, F&B, Retail, or Hospitality industry preferred.
- Experience handling multi-unit restaurant operations will be an advantage.
