We are looking for a passionate and skilled SDE 1 – Java Backend Developer with 2–3 years of experience to join our client's product engineering team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The ideal candidate should possess strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience in building scalable microservices and APIs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a fast-paced client project while contributing to high-performance backend systems in an eCommerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
- Build and optimize Microservices-based architecture.
- Develop and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
- Analyse and optimize algorithms with strong understanding of Data Structures, Time Complexity, and Space Complexity.
- Design low-level components using sound Low-Level Design (LLD) principles.
- Work with SQL databases for data modelling, querying, and optimization.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps.
- Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Deploy and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
