Job Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully delivering technology projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring project objectives align with business goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Management
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project changes and control scope.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, clients, vendors, and technical teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates.
Team Coordination
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance.
- Facilitate collaboration among developers, analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Resolve issues affecting project schedules or deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Budget and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Track project expenditures and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Review deliverables and oversee testing and implementation activities.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and project closure.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
- Prepare project status reports and presentations for management.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented and shared.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in IT project management.
- Experience managing software development, infrastructure, ERP, cloud, or digital transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
