Comprehensive Financial Oversight Across Multiple Regions
Role Summary
This role is responsible for providing strategic oversight of accounting operations across the Asia-Pacific (APAC), Middle East (ME), and African regions. The position ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, drives compliance with international and local standards, and fosters operational efficiency. In addition, the role actively supports business expansion, risk management, and the implementation of best practices tailored to diverse regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate accounting operations for APAC, ME, and African countries, ensuring full compliance with both local and international financial regulations.
Manage reconciliations related to global intercompany transactions and other ledgers, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Develop, review, and analyse cost models to support strategic business decisions and drive effective long-term financial planning.
Support budgeting processes, oversee vendor management, and ensure the accurate preparation of IFRS calculations for consolidated reporting.
Facilitate the incorporation of new entities globally by coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring statutory compliance, and streamlining onboarding processes.
Take ownership of additional finance-related tasks at the global level, contributing to organisational objectives, strategic finance initiatives, and process optimisation projects.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regional regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in accounting, reconciliations, cost modelling, budgeting, and vendor management.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different regions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications & Experience
Inter CA, Commerce Postgraduate, Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification preferred.
10+ years of experience in regional or global finance roles, preferably within multinational organisations.
Expertise in overseeing accounting functions and supporting financial operations across multiple countries.
