We are looking for a highly driven Operations Manager who can lead end-to-end operations, drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and deliver superior customer service across multiple locations and business verticals.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence
- Manage daily order-to-delivery operations and ensure seamless execution across assigned regions.
- Drive OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance above 95%.
- Monitor and optimize cold storage, transportation, and reefer operations.
- Ensure inventory accuracy above 98% across all managed facilities.
- Lead capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational scheduling.
Reefer & Logistics Management
- Oversee reefer container operations, PTI compliance, temperature monitoring, and fleet utilization.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, and logistics partners for smooth movement of temperature-sensitive cargo.
- Manage detention, demurrage, and operational cost controls.
- Ensure timely resolution of breakdowns, temperature excursions, and operational disruptions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop operations, warehouse, service, and logistics teams.
- Drive accountability through KPIs, SOP adherence, and performance reviews.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on execution, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular training programs on safety, compliance, and operational best practices.
Customer & Service Management
- Ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction across all touchpoints.
- Handle escalations and critical customer issues with urgency and ownership.
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to support business growth.
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and statutory compliance across facilities.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and compliance improvement initiatives.
Vendor & Cost Management
- Manage transporters, contractors, service vendors, and project partners.
- Negotiate and monitor vendor SLAs and performance metrics.
- Drive annual operational cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor operational budgets and improve profitability through efficiency programs.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS reports.
- Track key operational metrics and recommend improvement actions.
- Present operational performance reviews to senior leadership.
Desired Candidate ProfileMust-Have Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in Cold Chain, Refrigerated Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, or Reefer Operations.
- Proven experience managing multi-site operations.
- Strong exposure to reefer containers, temperature-controlled logistics, or cold storage operations.
- Experience handling transport vendors, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
- Experience managing large operational teams.
