The Capsule Operator (SA9) will operate and monitor capsule filling and related packaging equipment, ensuring accurate dosing, high product quality, and compliance with GMP and safety procedures. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate capsule filling machines (SA9 and related equipment) and associated auxiliary machines.
Set up machines, load raw materials (granules, capsules), and verify machine settings according to batch documents.
Ensure accurate dosing, capsule alignment, and proper sealing where applicable.
Monitor production parameters, record batch data, and maintain accurate production logs.
Perform in-process checks for weight variation, fill weight, capsule integrity, and visual defects.
Conduct routine cleaning, sanitization, and basic preventive maintenance of machines as per SOPs.
Report deviations, equipment faults, and quality issues to supervisors and QA promptly.
Participate in cleaning-in-place (CIP) and changeover activities following GMP and safety guidelines.
Follow all cGMP, safety, and documentation requirements (batch records, logs, cleaning records).
Train and mentor junior operators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: 10th or 12th pass (high school).
Experience: Minimum 8 years working as a Capsule Operator in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of capsule filling operations, equipment, and GMP requirements.
Experience with batch documentation, in-process testing, and production reporting.
Understanding of basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, and technical instructions.
Good attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a team.
Willingness to work in shifts and handle the physical demands of the job.
Skills:
Capsule machine operation and setup (SA9 experience preferred).
In-process testing and quality inspection.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Teamwork, communication, and training ability.
